The pros and cons of an opamp used in the feedback or feedforward circuitry

I would like to know the advantages or the disadvantages of an opamp used in the feedback or feedforward circuitry. Also, is there a change in gain when opamp is used in the above two configurations.
I have attached an example which shows a feedback and feedforward circuit. The values of the resistors are just an example.
