magnum metal detector

h**p://www.thunting.com/cgi-bin/geotech/pages/common/index.pl?page=metdet&file=/projects/magnum/index.dat - Some time ago we discussed about the detector, but I havent foud anywhere more information about it. For example. Does anybody now how deep it recognizes metal and stuff? 0,5m? 1m? 1,5m?

The Magnum metal detector is comparable with beach-type hobby metal (jewellery, coins etc) detectors ..
A coin-size object will be detected at roughly 30 cm ..

But how deep does it recognize something bigger like guns and other weapons(swards aso.)?
 

magnum 2004 detector

The coils setup in this detector narrows the "beam" diameter but doesn't extend its range (penetration through soil) very much ..
For bigger objects don't expect the range to be beyond 50cm ..
