Hello,

A interview question goes as how to decide the inductor and capacitor value of a simple Buck Converter? How to answer it? Thanks.
 

inductor is the current storage device while capacitor is the voltage storage device. So, with appropriate calculation, you can get a suitable value for the converter filtering purpose.
 

Simple Answer :
Depending upon the operational frequency of the transformer, Inductor & Capacitor values can be selected.
 

Perhaps inductor is decided by inductor current (peak level), capacitor is decided by output voltage ripple
