Hi can anyone explain me the effect of non-linearity of op-amp gain on the performance of ADC ?

Re: Query regarding ADC

Sigma delta ADC.. am planning to design 12 Bit sigma delta ADC for 100MHZ

Re: Query regarding ADC

are you talking about the integrator formed using the opamp in sigma-delta ADC????

the nonlinearity would be taken care by the feedback loop because it is the one which determines the gain provided the open loop gain is very high....

Re: Query regarding ADC

Yeah.. but how do i take care the non-idealities because of non-linear op-amp gain.. ?

Re: Query regarding ADC

actually it is not at all needed if you are using a opamp with high open loop gain because you are having feedback..... and you will be using it in integrator and so just design or select opamp to have high gain that is all.....
