The difference between Virtuoso-XL and Virtuoso design flow

can anyone give the design flow for virtuoso-XL??

is it same as virtuoso?? wat is the exact differenec bertween them??

the main difference between them is the gate handling capacity......correct me if i'm wrong......

The difference between virtuso excel and virtuoso layout editor is

xl will generate spicelevel netlist and with the help of that netlist we have to design a standard cell by following the design rules.....

this is the main difference..

Hi vreddy,

In virtuoso-XL you can synthesize schematic, that is you can get layout directly giving schematic input.but it is not possible in virtuoso

There are lot of differences b/w viruoso and virtuoso-XL.

Virtuoso-XL is connectivity drivn, where in your layout is created from schematic, at the same time you can cross-highlight and probe the nets/devices/pins b/w sch and layout.
It has advanced features such as Tx Chaining and Folding.
Cloning -- copying with connectivity.
ECO changes
and many more...
