Hi, are there anybody have the comparison/benchmark between Cisco and Juniper? both commercially, and technically?

for example Cisco have the CRS-1, what does Juniper have to compete with Cisco CRS-1? how is the comparison both commercially and technically?

How is the global share market looks like for their routers and switches? who is the market leader? and why? and how to beat them?

Why should we pay so much for Cisco certification?

Thanks,
Zhi Yi

Hi zhi_yi,

I would propose an answer only for the last part of your question "Why should we pay so much for Cisco certification?"

I believe it is because with Cisco certification you can easily get a good job because you are demonstrating a basic level of IP competence. Not necessarily in an ISP or a System Integrator, but also in a Call Center and similar companies. Needless to say that Cisco has a tremendous market share. Moreover, it's increasingly considered a competitor for Telecom companies as well because we are in era where many technologies are shifting towards all-IP.

cisco vs juniper

I think CISCO making their coustumer.
bcz there would be more students of cisco there woulb more selling of cisco devices.
