Which linux is the best edition for EDA tool installing?
I use RHEL WS 4.0. But there are still some problems in installing the synopsys eda tools. The license server is running, but it can not work.

It depends on the version of software you are using.

Try to set LD_ASSUME_KERNEL env variable to 2.4.1 before running the tool. This may help in some cases. RHEL v3 is most compatible with Synopsys tools. That's the baseline OS for most tools. Refer
