Hi

What do you think of the different CPUs for a desktop PC ? Which one will perform faster when simulating a complex analog circuit on HSPICE/Cadence ?

1. Intel Core2 Due 2.7GHz
2. Intel pentium D 3.4GHz
3. Intel Core2 extreme- 2.9GHz
4. Intel Xeon -3.6GHz
5. Intel pentium 4- 3.6GHz
6. AMD...

if you were to buy a PC what would you choose?
What aspects are improtant for simulation? (clock, cach, bus speed) ?
I will be greatfull if you could share your expriences with different CPUs!

two intel xeon CPU
4G memory(667MHZ)
1066 bus frequency
320G SCSI hardisk
