you can try reading the book CMOS memory circuits by Tegze P. Haraszti or Memory Microprocessor and ASIC by Ivans .... or anyother author ...

These books are available in eda board itself ...

helo...are like microcontroller design? if you like it, try to look EEPROM that can be controlled using I2C..

any eeprom can be learn form its data sheet..the data sheet always provided with how to write,read or erase the data..
