TFT timing controller: Frame rate control

Hi all,

I'm looking for informations on FRC method to convert 8bits to 6bits color depth (named also dithering) in TFT timing controllers.

Anyone can explain the algorithm?

the dither is this
first we define a 4x4 matrix like this
A1 A2 A3 A4
A5 A6 A7 A8
A9 A10 A11 A12
A13 A14 A15 A16

the TFT data come like this
B00 B01 B02 B03 B04 .....
B10 B11 B12 B13 B14 .....
B20 ..............................

the dither algorithm is A1 + B00 ,A2+B01 ,A3+B02 , A4+B03, A1+B04 .........
A5+B10,A6+B11,A7+B12.........

then leave the MSB 6bit
