Hi,
Does anyone know the name of text editor for linux, which is GUI style and it has top and left margins in red colored line and there are lines for writing text just as you would find in a physical notebook. I've used it many years ago I can't quiet recall it's name.

If you are sure about the editor you have used on the current desktop /laptop, I would suggest the following:

search for all the linux editor names. Which distribution of linux you are using?

see the editors that are installed on your machine.

try them one after another and see which one you have used earlier.

An example: I once played a game that involves sliding blocks to get one particular one out.

But I have forgotten the name of the game.

So I search the names of linux games and see if the name strikes me (my memory).

It did. But these days I forget how to find the name of the executable.

Yes, these things can be frustrating at times.
