If you are designing an IC you can use bandgap reference circuit it can supply constant voltage and current over temperature, you can find out more about design procedure in the following book "CMOS Circuit Design Layout and Simulation, R J baker"
In discrete electronics you can find out some IC like "CL25" to feed your circuit with the required current

Required 0.5mA constant current source. IC CL25 is 25 mA.

Hi,

The schematic of post#1 should work.
Current may be adjusted by changing the resistor value (2k).

Actually it would be prudent to state your design goals, accuracy, drift, error
that you can tolerate for the current source.
