Hi In a Tektronix 491 SA (manual here http://bama.edebris.com/manuals/tek/491/) I am trying to find the best point to get an IF out of it and feed it to an external receiver to demodulate it (SSB/AM etc)
I am looking at the 34 and 220 pages in the PDF.
I believe that the easiest point so as not to fiddle around with the honeycomb assembly, would be between the variable resolution amplifier and the filter (attached).
But I have some questions in this.
Is it 5MHz?
What is the bandwidth there?
Is it a stable incoming frequency IF point or is it sweeping (thus not suitable).
Any other ideas?
