thats good,
but the size(~10*15mm) and power loss of the actuator is also constrianed.here i need is the mechanical force to push.can u give me more ideas
A very small motor attached to a fine-thread machine-screw can drive a nut along.
Of course, it gets a bit harder, because you must worry about end-stop switches and stalling the motor. You may need two nuts fastened together and a rider between them or vice-versa.
using servo motor with threaded screws serves the purpose, but installing & operating the servo motor is harder and costlier than the earlier used solenoid.
can u suggest me some ideas which is simple and low cost.
To sort out the confusions relating to my question, iam clearly mentioning my need.
I am in need of a device(other than solenoid and bimetal) which will give mechanical output when electrical supply is given...
constraints relating to it are
-it should be operable on 5v-12v dc
-it size can range from(5*10mm) to (10*15mm)
-its mechanical output force > 70 gm
-its speed > 1m/sec
-travel distance 3-3.5mm
-it must be easily realisable, considerable cost
