common_shell_exec

I have install Synopsys Design Compiler (X2005.06) on debian (release3.1).
But when I start dc_shell, the tool try to find redhat-release.
How can I fix this problem?

THen it displays the following error:
/synopsys/syn/linux/syn/bin/common_shell_exec: relocation error: /synopsys/syn/linux/syn/bin/common_shell_exec: symbol __libc_stack_end, version GLIBC_2.1 not defined in file ld-linux.so.2 with link time reference

Could some one help me?

/common_shell_exec

the system of debian has not fully install.
you shoud install GLIBC_2.1 first.

design compiler debian

Hi sunking,
How could I install GLIBC_2.1?

ld.so.1: common_shell_exec:

it depond on you file.
you can install .rpm or .c
.rpm you can install directly.
for .c, you need compile first.

the best way is install the setup disk, which include the needed file.

Glib files are the rpms in ur server directory ...

Better u all shift for RHEL 5.4 Server ...supports all synopsys tools

You can resolve any kind of erros ,dependeancies by using repositary ...yum etc
RPMS are available in DVD only of redhat

You can get it free on redhat
CENT os is also absolutely free ....u can go for that...
and for red hat release reolve

Just put enter ,,,enter enter ...thats it donot give any version which u are using ar time of installation
