can i use 555 timer as syncronous clock for counter??

ii know the frequency of the 555 timer is very low comparing with pulses generator device;

need your opnion please

hadef, depends on the application really, can it be used as a clock generator for a timer, yes. Is it ideal, definitly not. You could use a tiny11 or similar microcontroller (cost is 50 cents per chip, lower in bulk) in the same footprint to generate a clock up into the mhzs and still have a couple I/O lines that could be put to use.
