Hello,
I am currently working on a project to integrate PV panels with the main power supply and to meter the input and output energy. We have enough panels to generate 1KW.

The current idea we have in mind is to use a charge controller + battery followed by an inverter and a synchronization unit.

The problem we are facing is that there is a high amount of current flowing through the charge controller [for 24V battery, close to 40A current]. Can someone suggest a charge controller with such a rating?

Also what changes will be needed to the domestic inverter to implement this? We are currently planning to connect the panel + charge controller + battery to the inverter but we need to supplement the supply and not an on/off action.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think you can have two charge controllers in parallel to make up the combine current output if they have a coordinating control input.
