Re: i need advice
There are 3 approaches in studying computer networks:
1. Data communication approach: this approach is recommended by communications staff and needs some cademic background in communication. However u can have an abstracted view to this approach. I recommend u "Data and Computer Communications, Sixth Edition. by William Stallings"
2. network vendors approach: This approach focuses on technical aspects rather academic. It concentrates on network administrations. The most famious tracks are: CCNA by CSICO and MCSA by Microsoft. If u r not graduated in an enginnering faculty (eithr communication or computer) I am recommending you this approach. The material of CCNA and MCSA is very popular and u can simply find alot on the internet.
3. Developing approach: This approach is focusing on understanding the protocols of the internet to can develope network applications. If u r excellent in programming i recommned u this approach. U can start from the great book "Computer Networking: A Top-Down Approach Featuring the Internet by Kurose"
