Suggestions needed in Embedded C/C

Hi,

I am interested to learn and make career in embedded.
I have some very few months experience in embedded.
I feel that in embedded every project uses different development tools.
Is it required to know about the hardware for troubleshooting.
Please mail to me good websites for learning C/embedded C in more detail.
Any suggestions about how to make career in embedded are welcome.
