suggestion for project extension

I am doing a project on implementing modem using pi/4 dqpsk modulation using matlab.Can any one suggest some extension to the project because implementation in matlab is just too small a project.
 

HI,

you'll be probably just simulating the encoded and decoded bits of the modulator and demodulator in MATLAB's SIMULINK software...........If u consider the whole project of implementing a MODEM using it, there are various other issues you need to know...like what mode of communication is used.etc... etc.......
