Suggest me a project topic for Computer Engineering course

What is a nice project to proposed??? Iam a graduating student then i want an idea what project can be made in one semester. I want interfacing but i need an idea ., My course is Computer Engineering... i try to used the picbasic and VB .

What do you think of controlling motors ?

Or management/monitoring of a factory/machine with Sensors/engines linked to a PC in order to get Temperature, humidity, level of water.....to be used to compute the appropiate actions to be performed with these engines.

how about anything in telematics? that's the mixing between computers and wireless telecomm technos
