Suggest me a cheap ARM evaluation board and IDE

arm newbie compiler

Untill now i used PIC (various series), Motorola HC11, HC12, MPC5xx, and now i'd like to go on ARM platform. But now problems began. I can not afford to buy develpment SW and fancy evaluation boards from Real View, Metrowerks and other expensive manufacturers. I'd like to buy some cost efective ARM7TDMI evaluation board and IDE software. I found something interesting on: **broken link removed**
As i can see they offer low cost IDE and boards with prices that i can afford.
But i need information if anyone has used them and what are your experiences. Also if you are using some other evaluation boards please tell me what is your opinion.
What i need:
1. IDE (it can be GNU or with some GNU components like compiler or debugger) but i prefere visual IDE's
2. Evaluation board with ARM7TDMI (also preinstalled OS like Linux is preffered)
3. JTAG interface for programming/debugging

I've read somewhere that some of Atmel's ARM based MCU's don't support boundary scan?! Can anuone please explain to me what this means?!
Also tell me what ARM based MCU is easiest to order in Europe in smaller quantaties (MOQ<10 pcs)

I interrested by ARM technologie, but I'm not rich and I prefer discover this architecture with just an small console : Gameboy Advance.
With this console you all to discovers this component, and it's very easy to develop an application.
Visual HAM it's a perfect IDE and very simple to use.
I'm at the begining of my study but for it's very good way to understand, write code and test without lot of money (99€ for the console + ~= 90€ for cartridge and cable to test your application)

I use an emulator of GBA to start the project and my console to finalyze.

Another interest, this method run on Win32 and linux environment.

Well until now i was unable to find this Gameboy for affordable price. And there are cheap evaluation boards from other manufacturers.
Can you tell me from where have you purchased your game boy/programming-testing cartridge card?!

I would say Philips LPC2000 family is the easiest to get and also the cheapest and easiest to use, with 5 V tolerant inputs etc.

Later Atmel will introduce the AT91SAM7Sxx which will also be very cheap and easy to use, with built in core voltage regulator and 5 V tolrant inputs etc. See the link below.

Also if you are using some other evaluation boards please tell me what is your opinion.

Try to read the last part of this topic, there's mentioned a lot of cheap evaluation boards for Philips LPC2000.
