Hi,

I am using BF533 processor in one of audio application. The reset time should be minimum of 11tclkin. The maximum frequency of operation will be 533MHz(1.8ns). For reset i am going to use RC circuit. Can anyone suggest suitable RC circuit for this.

Or can anyone verify the below calculation of finding the value of RC
t=RC
T=1.8ns
R=10K
C=1.8 ns/10K
C=18pF

RC circuit Design

When the frequency of operation is variable, and you nead at least 11 clock cycles, you need to calculate your RC delay time based on the lowest frequency. I also assume that the RC time may/can be longer.

Is this a power up delay, or reset given from another circuit?

for a decision level of half the supply voltage:

Delay (rising voltage, from empty capacitor to supply voltage) = 0.69RC.

Maybe you can supply some additional info to be sure our comment is useful to you.
