Suggest a low cost ARM development/evaluation board for learning purposes..

Hi,

I have been developing systems using 8 bit PIC micro-controllers. I use a C compiler to develop programs for this. Now I would like to start on ARM based devices.

Could anyone suggest a low cost development/evaluation board that has a generous mix of devices like LEDs, push buttons, a LCD screen etc. Please also recommend a suitable C compiler that can be used to develop programs for the development board. An open source compiler would be preferable, later I intend to buy a good C compiler for commercial work.

thanks
a

Note: I have browsed through Keil MDK site, the range of evaluation boards is dazzling, a recommendation would be useful
