Hi coolchip,

Besides books and websites, you SHOULD have a simulator to test the circuits. I think this is as much important as a good reference.

You only learn when you do it. I had a teacher that used to say "Your brain doesn´t learn anything but your arm do! So use it"

Since it is hard to buy and prototype everything a simulator is a piece of "equipment" of good use. Try any of these:

Proteus VSM -> h**p://www.labcenter.co.uk (most complete)

Digital Works -> http://www.spsu.edu/cs/faculty/bbrown/circuits/howto.html
(easier to use, simple designs only)

Microcap -> http://www.spectrum-soft.com/index.shtm (digital and analog)

You can find a demo version of the above softwares on the websites supplied.
