Hey guys,

I have this problem where I have a wideband signal and my equipment cannot record the whole length of the band.

So what I was thinking is to record each band piece by piece and put them together using MATLAB or something else and play it back.

My signal generator is can play back the whole bandwidth of the signal, but I don't know how to stitch them together.

Can anyone help?

Thank you!

The signals in the partial bands may be either correlated or uncorrelated. In the former case, the method would fail to reconstruct
the complete signal, in the latter case, it's meaningless.

Well, I don't really care too much about the signal information. I just want it to look like how it comes up in a spectrum analyzer.

I'm just curious as to how the amplitude, and may be phase can be emulated.
