Hi all,
Can someone plz tell me how to control a stepper motor with the help of 8051. If possible try to give the complete cct.
I have a bipolar stepper motor rotating an unbalanced load of 10 Kgs.

i was seeing if anyone had replied to my question when i noticed your question. i had this same problem a while back and found this web site very useful for me and my project. i dont know but maybe you can use it too. here it is: http://esd.cs.ucr.edu/labs/stepper/stepper.html

if i think of anything else i will post it. hopefully someone else may have more detailed information. good luck!

Thanks very much dear. You were of great help.
Can someone plz tell me that for an antenna of 10 kgs what will be the torque requirement or suggest a stepper motor.

I'm sorry to add my problems to yours but I also need guidance on holding torque and so on. How big a stepper motor would I need to move something the size of a gate. I'm thinking of designing an electronically control gate using stepper motors.
