Standard protocol between 2 devices

Can any one suggest a standard protocol(serial Tx, Rx only) for communication between two devices???

you can go for RS232 communication using two lines Rx and Tx with Header ,Footer and Checksum concept , means ------ "Data Packetization"


else, you can go for RS 485 or RS 422 using asynchronous mode with Header , Footer concepts .



If you can provide the data / parameters then I can make a protocol for you .
