Hi, everyone. I am wondering are there any good reference for designing stacked microstrip antenna? Why the bandwidth of the microstrip antenna can be enhanced by adding parasitic patch? Thanks.~~

Hi, antenna_abc: Stacked microstrip antennas normally makes use of multiple resonators and couple the resonances at different frequency points together so that it will show a wider bandwidth resonance. Regards.

There are dozens of IEEE papers talking about the stacking microstrip antennas. You should be able to follow them. One concern is that you have to give enough distance between two (or more) p a tches to make the design work.

Good luck,
