Hi All,
I am Making a function generator i need a circuit based on an OP-AMP that converts square waveform to sine waveform
please help
reply schematic

Use multipole active low-pass filter with 3dB cut-off frequency < 2 x Maximum input frequency of the square wave ..
The output of, for example, 3-pole (or 5-pole) LPF filter should be almost "pure" sine wave ..

First make from the square wave a triangle wave, using an integrator, than use a LPF (low pass filter) to filter the triangle wave into a sine wave. This is the fastest way to do this !. If you only use a LPF you need more components, since you need to filter more (higher order).

Partly true... but if he is making an function generator he must have triagle wave first, so take that as a basis to make a sine and NOT a square.

R in series tank LC will help as pulsating sq fed to LC circuit will create sine wave.

sq. wave is needed since all practical LC are lossy.


hope u got the ckt. R + (parallel LC grounded) with input sq.wave at R and o/p at R & tank joint.

Just to add:
Filter specifications could be relaxed if you could cut-off with some limiting circuit top and bottom of triangles (i.e to make trapezoids) before filtering, because then you would have less high frequency components.
