Hello everyone,

I am designing an SPWM inverter

The output is 220 V 2.5A
DC BUS Voltage 320V

what should the minimum of DC bus Current ?

Hi,

Take a piece of paper and draw the exoected currents.

You will soon find out that your information is no sufficient.
* I assume the 220V, 2.5A is AC....but what kind of AC? RMS or amplitude or peak to peak?
What phase angle?
What is the expected inverter efficiency at this load?

And what DC bus current?
* The absolute maximum peak value (within 100ns or so)
* Or the maximum expectable average current?

Klaus

220Vac rms is 311 Vpk, a 320V bus is a little light for this, the DC bus current will be the average current flowing to the load:

for 2.5A rms, assuming all real power, the Po = 220x2.5 = 550 watts divided by 325 Vbus say = 1.70 amps DC average ...
