spartan 3an cable driver

Hi,

I'm trying to install the USB data cable for my Spartan 3an board but

WARNING:iMPACT:923 - Can not find cable, check cable setup !

Well...I installed the

Xilinx Platform Cable USB Firmware Loader [ug344]

but when I do a "Cable Setup" in iMPACT, I get the message

Connecting to cable (Usb Port - USB21).
Checking cable driver.
Driver version: 1027 (1027).
Driver windrvr6.sys version = 8.1.1.0. WinDriver v8.11 Jungo (c) 1997 - 2006 Build Date: Oct 16 2006 X86 32bit SYS 12:35:07, version = 811.
Cable connection failed.

I use ISE 9.2.

Does anybody has idea what has to be done?

Thx,
Krivan

Hi,

No there were no other suspicious messages.
The problem has been solved and in a for me surprising way...

I did nothitng but just reinstalled the "Xilinx USB" three-times from the "Device Manager" of the Windows[as I've written, the firmware loader has already been installed]. At every attempt I let the Windows to connect to the internet and at the third installation attempt it just simply found a driver on the internet and installed it and now it works...strange and surprising but at least the cable works now...
