sla7062m

Howdy,

I'm looking for a source for the Allegro SLA7062 Unipolar Stepper-Motor Translator/Drivers in singles quantities. Newark lists them, but they have a 3 month lead time, and require a minimum order of 108 of them at about $8.50 each. I only need 4, and I don't want to wait three months for them.

This is for an existing design, so I need either this part or something pin-compatible.

Sorry if this isn't the best place for this post, I didn't see another forum more suited to this type of request.

Thanks for any leads!

sla7062m price

You have 2 options.
1 use a site like partminer.com pricing is sent to you after you RFQ ( request for quote )
2. Call a local sales office of Allegro and ask for some sample to do prototyping.
Give them a line that if the part is accecptable you could purchase like 2K to 10K pieces per year. You should also come up with a nifty sounding Project name.
Preferable have them sent to your work as opposed to a residential address. If you work for a manufacturer you'll be more likely to get free parts. You can still get them but it may require a few lies on your part to get them.

Here's an example:
Hi I'm Joe Blow and My company whosits is developing a new product line of positional robotics. We need to replace a existing product that is reaching end of life. Your Product SLA7062M is one of our prospective replacement parts.
I'd like to get 10 pieces for prototyping and evaluation.
Should your part perform and be accepted for use we would likely purchase 2,000 to 8,000 pieces per year. IF you can provide pricing for lots of 1,000;5,000 and 10,000 or wherever your price breaks occur would be helpfull.
Thanks,

good luck

Great news! I have been able to pass along a price reduction on the SLA7062M unipolar microstepping driver. Now only $10 each & no minimum order. www.techkits.com
