spource degeneration

there is a question i like to ask about designing a mixer. if i add a source degeneration (either a resistor or an inductor) at the source of the transconductance transistor. how would it interrupt the bandwidth of the mixers? im designing a double-balanced gilbert mixer. as i understand, with the extra source degeneration, it will help to improve linearization, at the same time, brings the transconductance stage to a higher input impedance, therefore it would be easier for matching.
so would it affecting the bandwidth of the mixers?
thanks
