if the input of the LDO(Vin) is 5V, but , there isn't 5v MOS divices in current library which only have 12V LDMOS devices. can i use the LDMOS in this design? and any other problem if i use this LDMOS in this design except the area problem? is there similar situations in real products?

thanks

it is not effective if use 12V LDMOS tfor input 5V. Beside the area get big you will have more parasitic capacitance but it is not big deal. You can good buffer for EAMP.

thank you!

Depends on your LDO's structure,Sometime,Matching of DMOS is a big problem

The VTH will be larger than the 5v device , so the chip size will be larger than 5v does
