Solution for switching of an AC line

hello
i want to on/off a 220 Vac line with 5 v control signal and i dont want to use relay
how can i do this?

what about you use mosfet or igbt,,because it is a transistor but can be a switching device right?... comment me if i''m wrong...

For your application, no, not reliably, but Triac can.
