Hi,

In my application, I would like to have a USB interface for a device which uses a SDIO one. I was thinking to put a FTDI chip in the middle and programme it but actually I do not know if it is possible. With UART and SPI buses, it is possible to have a FTDI which works as a USB adapter.
Does anyone know how I could do or suggest nything smarter (obviously cheap and easy to implement)?
I thank you.

Why dont you have a look at the PIC18F2550?! it has a USB interface and plenty of other communication ports built in.
As far as I know you get only 2 types of FTDI ships, the USB to serial and USB to parallel.

FTDI chips are only support full-speed mode and low-speed mode.
