solt calibration procedure

Hallo,

for SOLT calibration, the standard 12term error model is used. Could somebody please explain why the transmission coefficient from the Network analyzer to the DeviceUnderTest is always assumed to be 1 (without loss of generality).

For better understanding I will download a picture of the 12 term error model.

Thank you.

Hallo,

Added after 1 minutes:

Hallo,

simple answer. E-TF covers both the transmission part of the error network 1 (which was set to 1) and the error network 2 (port2).
