Thanks for the links, this could be very useful. Does anyone know what voltage range this circuit will take?

I assume its designed for a 112v supply, well how hard would it be to change this to work with 230v?
 

Nice site. Quite a few interesting circuits.

I didn't fully examine the soldering iron circuit, but I noticed the lack of a transformer. If you plan on making this, I highly advise you add one before the bridge. I don't trust any circuit enought to run it without mains isolation.
