Hi, does anyone know about any software that can be used to model large finite frequency selective surface very easily? I know that HFSS v9.2 can use periodic boundary condition to model infinite FSS with a unit cell, how about the latest version? I also know that FEKO can use MLFMM to simulate large structures, what approaches other softwares (like IE3D, XFDTD, Designer, CST) use to deal with large-size problems? any information will be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: software to model large finite frequency selective surfa

Hi, RayFeko: You can use the GEMS and AIMS solvers on the IE3D 11 to solve large finite size array or FSS problems. They are iterative matrix solvers allowing IE3D to solve loosely coupled by much larger structures which the default SMSi matrix solver can not solve. Also, we are coming up an very robust and fast scheme on IE3D to solve general large structures with little loss in accuracy. Regards.

Hi Jian, thanks so much for the information. It is really good to know that. I will look into it shortly.
Regards.
