soft start ac motor

I am looking for a soft starter for an 5HP AC motor. Any link to a schematic, sugestions...

ac motor soft start circuit schematic

you can use "constant V/F" or "space vector" approaches to build it!
in open loop V/F constant you should implement a spwm by keepping voltage to frequency constant during startup by using a low cost microcontroller such as atmega64 or better dspic30f2010.
in atmel website or microchip you can find some useful application notes about this topic

Hi bafri,

Thanks for fast response. Unfortuanately, I am not familiar with programming of any microcontroller. Anyway, I will go there and check what they have to offer.
