Hi desperately looking for a soft start ( about 1-3 secs) circuit that will power a 12V dc 15 amp motor using a simple power mosfet circuit, this is to take out the jerk of the start of the motor..... many thanks for any help... Peter

Use a microcontroller such as PICAXE and program one of output pins to generate PWM from 0 (0%) to 1023(100%) over 2-3seconds, then connect this pin to the gate of N-Channel power MOSFET ..
