soc encounter buffer foot print

hi all,

What name should i specified in SOC Encounter for:

a) Buffer Name/Footprint
b) Delay NAme/Footprint

thanx

cell_footprint

You can view your liberty file. Search the cell, such as BUFX1 or INVX1. And you will find the footprint name in "footprint" section.

Good Luck

liberty cell footprint

Take the buffer for example, (Usage of Inverter and Delay cell are the same)
You can use
1) cell name, such as BUFX1, BUFX2, BUFX3... or
2) footprint name, like "BUF" in your .lib files.

Example of content of .lib file:
----------------------------------
cell(BUFX1)
cell(BUFX2)
cell(BUFX3)
:

cell_footprint : BUF ; <-- Footprint of cell: BUFX1,BUFX2,BUFX3, ...and so on.
