Dear All,

I am designing a circuit to control AC motor direction. I am using BTA16-800CW and I am using MOC3041 triac driver to drive it with microcontroller. I am using P275L40B MOV to protect triac but I am confused about snubber circuit. How can I determine the values of R and C values? Could you please explain the calculation of them?

Motor characteristics; 1/4HP 0.18kW 1,6A 220V 50Hz Run capacitor type AC induction Motor.

Circuit schematic is added

Thanks for helps
Best Regards.
