does anyone has an idea in SMD technologie, the problem is that when i design the footprint of a resistor in the datasheet they make only the maximum and the minimum value?? what is the value that i should take to design the footprint??
is the package 0603 standard or it depends on the chip??
regards,
Hi,
it depends...
You see, I personally like works with worstcase measures!
other takes a nominal system, but if you have manual to solder: you must have min. 0.5 mm longer palds (outside the components), thes calls for minimum worstcase datas, often more with i.e. 0.3 mm, but its a case from some concrete producers & hes components!
You MUST check in all cases the components docu in detail and calculate the mpad measures fro worstcas: lengths component for outer volumen, but shortest compoenent with widest solder caps for internal pad disztances...
For some fine pitch ICs its a real problem with worstcase data, but if you has to design for industrial products: you can not take only one part from a only one firm, the standard(!?) 0603(& others too)measures not from all producers the same:-((
