SMB100 Rohde-Schwarz fail

Hi
We have a SMB100A that gives this error message at startup: Device Key Missing

The generator has worked just fine. After have being left on the shelf for a time it gives this error.

Now it cannot generate RF above 1MHz.

How come? Any ideas?

If you cannot recover the key, I think you should contact Rohde & Schwarz support with the serial number.

Hi
I can read the ID on the label on back of instrument. Is it this number? Can I type this number anywhere?
