How different are Single Turn and Multi-Turn Potentiometer/Trimmers?

Regards,
Chanchg

As far as resistance is concerned there is not much difference between single turn and multi-turn potentiometers.
However, in sigle turn its resistance can be adjusted within ≈330°, so it will be used for course adjustment.
On the other hand resistance of multi-turn (some types have 10 turns, some have evn 25 turns) can be adjusted within 10(25) turns and that allows you to adjust the desired resistance with very high prescision ..

Single Turn - very unstable, use high price one to get high performance.

Multi-Turn Potentiometers - are more expensive, but highly recomended for calibration. very stable.
