I have a RF board schematic with layout and associated datasheets of all the components. The board works fine. As a beginner, I want to simulate the layout and measure the relevant parameters. Can you suggest the best tool to do so?

I would choose an RF simulation tool where training resources are available to you, and it also helps if your colleagues are already familiar with the tool. The real cost in RF simulation tools is training, training and training, to educate the user to use the tool properly.

I have used both a lot. ADS is great! AWR is great! The user interface concept is different, it's a matter of personal preference which you prefer. AWR is more popular in small companies with no EDA support group, ADS is popular in large organizations that I work with. There are some differences in library model support, so check that as well.

And as mentioned above ... training is important, for both tools. It makes you more productive, with more reliable results.
