simplify the following boolean function

Σ m(1,3,5,7,11,15) + Σ d(0,2,5)

some authors give the correct answer as
__
AB + CD

some give the answer as
_
AD+CD

which answer is correct , most appropriate and why

kindly solve my problem as most authors give this problem as an solved problem and all give different answers

is 5 dont care or 1? you wrote in the both but i found the second one
_
AD+CD

THE SECOND ONE IS CORRECT

in your problem 5 is included both in minterm as well as dont care state. if 5 is taken as minterm, second one is correct. if 5 is taken as dont care, then first answer is correct.

the problem lies only with your problem statement

the problem is with the question it has 5 in both min as well as dontcare so you get two different answers..

the problem is with your statement, if 5 is a 'don't care' both answers are correct.

if 5 is a '1' then the only correct answer is
_
AD+CD

and here's the explanation using k-map.

I have not solved the problem. If people are getting some one answer and others other. It can be possible right? The way we consider don't care condition will determine the result.

The second one is the right answer irrespective of 5 ( both the case 1 or x).

I'm not at all getting the first answer.

I'm getting one more answer A'B'+CD.
