Simple RC circuit question

I'm having trouble imagining why no current flows through R2 in the below diagram. Can anyone offer some insight as to why this is? My guess is that if R1 and the current source are redrawn with the thevenin equivalent, Vs and the new voltage source both have their references hooked up to R2.

Because the capacitor will be open circuit after five time constants so there won't be any current through it's line and then R2 won't have any current .
